Great location. A very nice spa. The hotel room is unfortunately quite old, the shower was cold, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are very thin making it hard to sleep.

This place is literally falling down. All of the floor are uneven. Cobwebs everywhere from the lights to the bathrooms. No air conditioning or ventilation of any kind. The tiles in the bathroom falling off and the safes in the rooms are broken. The windows are just beyond repair, rusted and dirty. The food was OK - breakfast horrible, stale and cold.

Very basic rooms, no fridge, no air conditioning in any of the 5 rooms we as a family had. Hotel is very tired & in need of updating. Service, whilst mostly friendly was woefully slow despite hotel being far from full. Chipped crockery & missing items from numerous food orders only added to the disappointment. Breakfast was frankly appalling, despite having to pay extra for hot items. As the review title mentions, this is absolutely not a 4 star hotel & represents really poor value for money. Had I taken the time to read all of the recent negative reviews I would not have booked here. Unfortunately I can only confirm that those reviews are entirely accurate.

Couldn’t fault the location or the spa facilities What is a bit of a let down is the fact that the photographs of the rooms are somewhat misleading, whilst it was comfortable, albeit a little stuffy, the room was tired and could have done with a little bit of a refresh. The spa facilities were very modern and on trend, a shame that the hotel itself was a little tired. Breakfast, whilst service was prompt, it was apparent that it was pre prepared, hubby and I both ordered the same, eggs Benedict, this arrived stone cold. (Worth noting we were the first down).

Amazing Sunday roast could not fault it 🤗 we went for Sunday dinner 2 courses for £24 absolutely such good value for money and one of the best roasts I have had ! I had pork and the plate was full with pork lovely carrots brocolli roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding and apple sauce and gravy was sooo delicious! And finished off with apple and cinnamon crumble with custard ! Can definately recommend ! Lovely hotel beautiful setting Jill and Julie were so attentive and kind ! We willl be back ! Thanks
